I used this to wrap the scratching post. The cats love it. But twice as much as you think you need (if you don't count first). Fifty feet tightly wrapped with about eighteen inch 4x4.

Used for scratching after rest and our cat couldn't be happier. This is his favorite post and apart from the line that came loose he was still in good shape. I have enough cable left so I can redo it if needed.

Bought product for a cat scratching post I was building. It works fine as intended. I didn't realize how much rope it takes to wrap the pole. I ordered more of the same product to complete the job. A very good product at a fair price. Thanks

I'm glad this rope hasn't been treated with pesticides etc because I needed something to fix my cat's favorite scratching post. It's a good thick rope and even after about a year of daily scratching I don't see any wear.

Bought to repackage a cat scratching post that was thrown in the trash. It was the perfect 3/8" size for a replacement. I put the scratching post back in the box after about half an hour and it looked brand new when it was finished. And I saved money. Smells as per previous reviews I didn't notice The cat and I are happy!

I have used this to replace worn out sisal rope on my cat scratching posts and it is perfect. There is no smell or anything that could scare cats away. I'm sure I'll have to repeat this process at some point, but for now this rope may wear out less than the rope that was originally on the scratching post. When making a new scratching post, be sure to measure the old rope, because the length of the rope wrapped around the scratching post is deceptively long.

This strand of sisal rope was perfect for my project. I had a scratching post that needed the rope replaced as my cats ripped the factory installed rope and scratched it. This 50 foot roll was enough to cover a 2x4 that was about 18 inches high leaving about 6 inches. It's very easy to use, but I would advise using the longest staple your construction stapler can hold. Cats scratch their perch all the time and this rope helps. I bought and installed the rope in February 2016, it is now December
