We make waffles ourselves! What would be better?! This machine is easy to use, fast (cooking time...prep and cleanup oops...)...the nonstick coating is truly nonstick. The first recipe in the "booklet", which leaves a lot to be desired, was too thick, but I thinned it out. it's a bit with a lot of milk. Worked great. The time of 3 minutes was tight. I found 3:20 the best. Dispensing of 6-8 waffles has been turned off unless "waffle" refers to each quarter. If you want a whole waffle, which I consider a waffle, you'll get about 3 waffles per recipe. I love that they look more like Belgian waffles than a toaster. As for this booklet, you must open it to use it. Like a map. Some lame. It doesn't look like a book at all. Now for what no one will tell you about making waffles. Clear. Two bowls, whisk, 5 measuring cups, flour on the stovetop, batter dripping... while I LOVE this waffle maker and LOVE fresh homemade waffles, there's a reason: a. They sell waffles in the freezer and b. These devices are under the counter. Don't get me wrong, I'm making waffles again, but not every morning. I have a toaster and a box of Eggos for that.
