UPDATE! Yes, it's rubbish, not worth the money. After just 2 applications on a 24 inch chain, the stone will take on an hourglass shape which will then add a curve to your top plate. I didn't realize it until I used the hand file again. A good name brand hand file is just about the best thing for getting sharper than a new edge.* I bought three different sizes of these, but this is probably the most common size. Different pitches. I'd say it's just as good like a hand file, but much faster. The stone wears out quickly in diameter, so I tend to use them for quick field fixes. and with gentle pressure forward over the entire stone for a few seconds (assuming your tooth isn't completely crushed). I sharpen my chains after every 2 trees split. Not every tooth has the same height or damage that needs to be fixed. Your rake determines how it cuts, not the tooth in front of it. Please. 😎
