This new squeeze clip is a great addition to the Steelie line. with integrated magnet, air vent mounts, windshield mounts, etc.), the latest of which is the Freemount clamp. Unfortunately, it also broke after a few years of use, which apparently happened in the same way as many other owners. The small plastic pin holding the clamp release lever sheared off inside the mechanism, rendering the clamp unusable. I needed a new mount for my new, larger iPhone 13 and found this "squeeze" clip. At first glance, this new model appears to be a clear design improvement over the Freemount. It's big (as another reviewer said), heavier, and feels more solid than the Freemount. It's also a lot bigger, but you only see the size when it's empty and with no phone installed. A design improvement is that the default position of the clamps is to push closed or stay open like the previous clamp. To secure your phone, press the two plastic levers on the back to open the clamp levers and insert your phone. Once your phone is secured it definitely holds tight enough that I'm not afraid of my phone falling out until I decide to release it. Unfortunately, my clamp (factory sealed) arrived with a small problem. One of the two small rubber grommets in each clamp arm was missing (as shown in the attached photos). The clip still works and holds my phone well, but instead of a soft rubber pad, it rubs against the phone's hardened plastic body. I have called customer service and left a message on Nite-Ize and am awaiting a response to see what is the best way to resolve this issue. If I don't get an answer I'll probably go back to Revain and order a replacement (once the price goes down to what I previously paid) and hope it doesn't have the same problem. Another potential issue I'm seeing (in just a few days so far) is whether the Steelie magnet/mount is strong enough to hold my new heavier phone. I have a feeling that the weight of the new phone and case, as well as the weight of the clip, might be too much, which could cause the clip to shift while driving (only hitting normal road bumps, not off-road or anything crazy ). It seems that I constantly have to adjust the viewing angle. All in all a great upgrade from the previous clip. Check weight/viewing angles *****
