Our kitchen remodeler suggested dark quartz countertops for our kitchen. He used the example of not being able to find chopsticks on a counter he made for a friend at night. After the installation was complete, I gave it to him. He'll never have to worry about losing her again! I can't rate how durable and comfortable they are to use, but the base of the wand is square. Both sticks came in plastic packaging with protective labels to prevent accidental ignition. The light button is at the tip of the chopsticks. So if you put them in your purse, be careful of items in your purse or pocket that might accidentally illuminate them.
