Review on πŸ”ͺ KONOLL 8-Inch Pro Serrated Bread Knife - Forged High Carbon Steel Cake Slicing Cutter - Thunder-K Series by Michelle Vaughn

Nice, durable, sharp knife at a good price

These are fun knives. I love looking at them on the knife strip. I have several, but this serrated bread knife is one of my favorites. I find others a little heavy to the touch, and while this is also heavy, the long, thin blade balances the weight better for my comfort and makes slicing bagels and crusty bread really easy. It makes nice, clean baguette slices without crushing the bread or tearing the crust. I find it too heavy to comfortably chop a bunch of tomatoes (I like a serrated knife for them), but it slices them well - not great, but good enough. I wash them by hand according to the instructions and dry them immediately. So far none of the knives have had rust or pitting, but you have to be extra careful not to let tiny tomato seeds get stuck in the pits of the knife (due to the design). The pens are really pretty and the packaging would have been nice to give as a gift too if it weren't for the poorly translated phrases running across the ribbon that holds the box together ("Enjoy fresh food for the rest of your life!") . I would definitely delete this group if I plan on giving it away. They're also made in China, which isn't my preferred source for everything that comes in contact with my food, but they're not exposed to heat and are reasonably priced, so I don't mind. With these knives. I'm not sure I'd order another set of these if they needed replacing because they're fine, which is good for the price (they're pretty cheap), but I'd rather spend a little more and get a knife get better quality. However, they are unique and beautifully presented. I like her.
