Great bread knife

I have several Konoll knives. Although the packaging states that these are German knives, they are made in China. So far I've been very happy with the quality of all the knives I've had from this company. They seem well made and sturdy. I've noticed that several reviewers have mentioned their Konoll knives getting rusty. Maybe it's because they don't dry their knives after use? I'm not sure as I always clean and dry all my knives right after use. But if I notice similar issues in the future…

Very stylish very sharp bread knife

I have several KONOLL knives. Everyone was outstanding and this one is no exception. The 8 inch bread knife is made of German steel. The knife is heavy for a bread knife, but very well balanced. It's really well built. The handle is comfortable to hold and the serrated blade is very sharp. The wooden handles are firmly attached to the shaft, but the rivet protrudes slightly. Not enough to make a difference. Forged steel is extremely attractive and easy to clean. Did I mention it's super spicy…

I've seen better. good for cutlery and knife accessories

In exchange for this review I received a KONOLL bread knife, an 8-inch professional knife with bagle serrations. I appreciate good sharp knives that work as they should. This knife is advertised as a "bagel cutter" or bread knife, which is why I did all my testing with something like that. My previous "bread knife" had very fine teeth and cut flawlessly without tearing the bread, making it easy to cut straight. This knife: 1: It's a little difficult to start making a bagel, resulting in a…

decent metal composition, very heavy, chunky handle, made in China

Let's start with what's good about this KONOLL bread knife. The metal used is suitable. 5Cr15 is an economical stainless steel with good corrosion resistance due to its high chromium content. It's relatively easy to sharpen, but on the other hand, serrated knives are more difficult for the home cook to sharpen than regular straight-edged chef's knives. The knife is very sharp and ready to use. What's happening? It's partly a matter of taste, but I hate design. I'd rather use any other cheap…

Nice knife, poorly translated care instructions in English

This is a good bread knife. It's a bit heavy for a bread knife in my opinion. But it works well and slices hot bread as best it can (if you bake Rhodian bread you know how hard it is to slice fresh out of the oven). I like that the shaft goes all the way through the grip. The shaft is the piece of metal that connects the knife to the handle. Many cheaper knives wrap the plastic or wooden handle around the tang so it doesn't reach the butt. As a result, the knife loses weight and has a weak…

Good balance, nice cut and strong handle Bread Knife

The 8" KONOLL THUNDER-K SERIES BREAD KNIFE has a strong handle with a straight cut blade. Rivetted shaft. On a survey knife one side is very light wood color and the other side is dark. The manufacturer did not match these two pieces of wood on this knife. The texture and finish is smooth and pleasant to the touch. We found the knife comfortable to hold and secure, even when making difficult cuts on hard-crusted multigrain breads. The center of gravity is just in front of the handle. The slices

Solid bread knife on bread knife

Konoll is a relatively new name for cutlery. The quality of their knives is average, definitely better than normal utility or branded knives, but a step below the highest quality knives. This bread knife is good and a good representation of the brand's quality - good quality at an affordable price. This is a solid butt knife, solidly made with a riveted wooden handle. The handle is smooth and some effort has gone into making the edges of the handle smooth in relation to the tang - you cannot…

Nice, durable, sharp knife at a good price

These are fun knives. I love looking at them on the knife strip. I have several, but this serrated bread knife is one of my favorites. I find others a little heavy to the touch, and while this is also heavy, the long, thin blade balances the weight better for my comfort and makes slicing bagels and crusty bread really easy. It makes nice, clean baguette slices without crushing the bread or tearing the crust. I find it too heavy to comfortably chop a bunch of tomatoes (I like a serrated knife…
