I bought this collar in 2017. It has worn out over time. I bought this collar again this year thinking it is the same great collar I bought earlier. No, that is not so. This is NOT a tear off collar with buckle closure. The clasp has changed. These are not the Pet Safe collars I have worn for all my cats for years. I am worried that this collar will not come off as I have to make a lot of effort to break it to get it off my cat in the evening. The zipper hurts too. One part has a protrusion that must slide into the other part of the clasp in order for it to close. It may take me several times to attach this collar. In short I would not buy this collar again and would advise you to purchase a collar from your local store so that you can see that it is a real buckle clasp collar. UPDATE: The clasp on this collar broke about a month after purchase. . Can't give stars but if I could I would.
