Review on 🎨 Mungyo Gallery Soft Pastel Squares 72-Piece Wood Box Set - Assorted Colors: High-Quality Art Supplies by Jennifer Roberts

For art purposes there are 68 (or fewer) usable sticks in this beautiful color set. It comes with four fluorescent colors that fade. I bought a box of 36 last year, made a sample page, taped it to a south facing window and left it for three months. Mid purple pink (021) and magenta (022) faded to almost white. Violet (023) turned blue. I found a color chart for Mungyo's set of 200 handmade soft pastels online showing that they use PV3 purple pigment, which is rated as fair in terms of lightfastness. No other colors in the set of 36 have faded. These pastels are semi-soft and very comfortable to use as they adhere well to paper made specifically for pastels. There are many more earthy tones in the full set and should be very useful along with my landscape Senneliers, although two more bright blues and a couple of lightfast purples can be used. The only really light blue seems to be a light shade of ultramarine. A wooden box is good for storage, but I wouldn't carry it to class or outside. However, the sticks are well stuffed with foam rubber. Really good value.
