Review on 🏷️ Efficient Brother PT-2430PC Label Maker with Auto Cutter - PC Connectivity for Simplified Labeling by Russell Roberson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great printer, good software (and it's generous)

Although there are a few small parts, this printer works great and allows me to print anything I have with any font I have, ie I delete. I wanted to be able to print labels using my own or someone else's fonts, and not just the default fonts that come built into the standard label printer. This printer does exactly what I want it to do. I wish the printing software was a bit smarter and easier to use, but it's certainly functional and does the job. You don't have to choose: 1) I wish the software had a user interface that looks like it was made AFTER Windows XP, not before. It's outdated, ugly and too clumsy for what it should/could be. 2) I wish the software would automatically resize the label based on my input instead of drawing the border around it. 3) I wish there was software that would allow me to grab and stretch and/or graphically resize what I've typed without affecting font sizes, kerning, line spacing, etc. (two regular sized lines on a large label) or half-height (two lines instead of one regular line). I know there are some rules for bandwidth, but the software itself doesn't do anything to adjust this EASY. Of course you can do that. Is it easy, not the way it should be. 5) I would like the printer not to make this first cut before printing the label. Waste of tape. Note. As far as I know, issues 1 through 4 are related to the software and not the printer. That's why I gave the printer a 5 and not a 4 anyway. The software bites, but is essentially functional.
