Great printer, good software (and it's generous)

Although there are a few small parts, this printer works great and allows me to print anything I have with any font I have, ie I delete. I wanted to be able to print labels using my own or someone else's fonts, and not just the default fonts that come built into the standard label printer. This printer does exactly what I want it to do. I wish the printing software was a bit smarter and easier to use, but it's certainly functional and does the job. You don't have to choose: 1) I wish the…

Ok but it's recycled

Overall a great product. The only downside I've found is that before printing a label, it cuts about 1/4 inch from the ribbon for no apparent reason. Printing a lot of individual labels wastes a fair amount of ribbon. **Update: 09/09/11 - I used this to make name labels for two different water bottles that I often carry with me. the labels disappear Also, I have two computers with Windows 7. One is a 32-bit system and the other is a 64-bit system. I bought it to use with a 32-bit system and the

Good lettering approach

I've had it for about 2 months. Being able to create these labels on your PC doesn't get much better than using one of those little keyboards on a manual label printer. I like being able to connect to any PC without installing anything to create a few simple labels in a reasonable amount of time. This gives you almost the same flexibility as a portable handheld labeler, with a much simpler user interface. Then, if you want to do something a little more outlandish, the software is pretty great…

Excellent value for money, very versatile.

This is my third p-touch labeller. The other two had keyboards that took up a lot of desk space. I really like the small size of the PT-2430PC and I really miss the keyboard. The basic label editor program runs from a flash drive inside the PT-2430PC itself! The basic editor is so powerful that I never felt the need to install the "advanced" editor from CD. I create labels with graphic warnings and instructions and the quality is decent with 1 inch tape. Many reviewers complain about poor…

Yes, it works with Mac. but i prefer windows software.

I have owned and worked with several label printers over the past 20 years and it is best to connect a label printer to a computer. I have to constantly reapply labels for work (I print about 96 labels). Every time I re-stick labels), and with traditional P-Touch label printers, I've spent a lot of time finding the right format for my labels, cutting them to the right length, and reprinting them because I couldn't too tight or cut the label under the corner and it didn't look good. In addition,

I love it! on office electronics

I have been using Brother TZ and M label printers for many years. This is my favorite of them all! It's much faster to use than either of the standalone devices, and I can print an entire spreadsheet of barcode stock labels in one session. Cute! These devices are much cheaper than individual devices. I have one that prints labels up to 1 inch wide. For those looking to spend less, a machine that prints up to 1/2 inch is a very good deal ($20 when I saw it a few days ago). many "fall traps" on…

Great product for other office equipment

I love how you can design your labels on a computer and have a pretty accurate idea of what you will get before you print the label. This will save you a lot of money in the long run since you don't have to print a lot with expensive ribbon to get it right. After a few months of daily use, the cutter is still working perfectly. This bothered me when I bought this model because it doesn't have a lever or anything to manually cut the tape if the auto cutter gets stuck or dull. But having made…
