Review on 🏷️ Efficient Brother PT-2430PC Label Maker with Auto Cutter - PC Connectivity for Simplified Labeling by Robert Farrar

Good lettering approach

I've had it for about 2 months. Being able to create these labels on your PC doesn't get much better than using one of those little keyboards on a manual label printer. I like being able to connect to any PC without installing anything to create a few simple labels in a reasonable amount of time. This gives you almost the same flexibility as a portable handheld labeler, with a much simpler user interface. Then, if you want to do something a little more outlandish, the software is pretty great (all things considered). I found the option to summarize a list for a label print job particularly helpful. Worked very well and saved me a lot of time. An example was a price list for a show my wife was doing. I combined the list with a label print job and she needed to apply the labels to the product display without having to reprint anything. It's certainly not as fast as sheet-fed laser labels, but I find that laser labels have varying degrees of consistency and durability. I have found Brother ribbon labels to be very consistent in quality and durability. The price of the tape seems reasonable, although I haven't done a detailed comparison. The printer works very well on batteries, which increases its portability. Overall very easy to use, especially with the benefit of a PC software interface over the sometimes clunky interfaces of a manual label printer. I had a problem. When I printed 25 copies of the label and had about 5 left, it crumpled. Printing continued but the label stuck to itself and crumpled the printout back into the cartridge. The cartridge was pretty much used up, but it was almost used up. I'm not sure if the tape was even enough to stick all the labels. I'm not sure if it was a defective cartridge or a problem with the printer. Since then I have printed many labels with no further problems.
