I really wanted to like this product. I bought two of these and thought it would be useful for my two tone crochet projects where I needed to use one color or the other in the work. The wood is smooth, turns easily and I found it relatively stable (when working properly). However, my yarn (which I pull from the outside of the skein) continues to wind between the base of the top section of the spindle and the bottom base on the spindle, meaning I have to keep stopping to get it out. If you pull it, everything falls over. Of course, that doesn't help to optimize my work. I'm not sure what the answer is, but could there be too much space between the two partitions? Spin too freely? I reluctantly send them back.
