Works well in older specialty UPSs
I bought an old online UPS with the fan running all the time. In a room a few meters away, noise is a problem. In my old UPS that died I replaced the fan with 2x 12V Noctuas which provided similar airflow and were much quieter. The problem for me when using it in my new UPS was that the fan in it ran at 24 VDC. I found this adapter and hooked it up. I've been using it for a few weeks now and am enjoying the reduced noise levels. The adapter is inexpensive and I would recommend it to anyone who needs a small 24VDC load.
