Good value for money. for tools and equipment

I bought this device to operate several 12V headlights with a 6S Li-Po battery. With this input (22.8V), the output voltage is 12.2V, which is very good. With no load, it consumes a current of 20 mA. I don't know if that's a lot, seems reasonable. I haven't tested it at full load (30A), curious what happens and if it has current protection. Will update when I test again.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Good but not great

works well, outputs 12.3 volts

this little one works and doesn't get hot or even hot to me. I use an 18v Ryobi battery to power the buck converter and then it outputs to a 12v cigarette socket to which I connected a Bestek 300w sine wave inverter which is now charge my computer. I can draw about 150W (120 volts). ) from a 4 amp/hour battery, without rapid battery drain. I would buy another in a heartbeat if I had to build another device.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Minor issues

Poor quality of the inverters

I bought one of these to install in a 24 volt truck to lower the voltage to run my stereo and multiple USB chargers for my phone. It was protected by a fuse panel with a maximum fuse rating of 15A. The converter burned out after a few hours of use. They replaced it after I spent an hour of my time going through the warranty process. Installed replacement and same thing. Only lasted about an hour. Remember this was protected by a fuse panel with 1 x 15A and 2 x 5A circuits. None of the fuses…

Pros
  • line length about 12cm, thin, small volume, easy installation.
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Works well in older specialty UPSs

I bought an old online UPS with the fan running all the time. In a room a few meters away, noise is a problem. In my old UPS that died I replaced the fan with 2x 12V Noctuas which provided similar airflow and were much quieter. The problem for me when using it in my new UPS was that the fan in it ran at 24 VDC. I found this adapter and hooked it up. I've been using it for a few weeks now and am enjoying the reduced noise levels. The adapter is inexpensive and I would recommend it to anyone who…

Pros
  • Built in over voltage, under voltage, overload, over temperature and short circuit protection.
Cons
  • Not bad

Took about 5 seconds

I connected it to my 18v tool battery. The output was 12.8v which was great. After this first test of the components, it took several hours to install the components and connect my project. I tested the built-in components again after everything was connected and before I loaded the step-down converter, i.e. flipped the switch that connects the battery to the step-down converter via a 15A fuse, it went out. nothing after that. Took maybe 5 seconds I checked my wiring and tested each component…

Pros
  • High quality and performance. 3 year guarantee.
Cons
  • Lots of things
