Having two USB charging ports is incredibly useful when traveling with multiple mobile devices and/or teenagers. Ergonomics: - Excellent design. once you get the hang of it. Don't forget to press the big button on the side before trying to slide the different switches. Like most travel adapters I've used, the M8 suffers from sticking sliders. The connector may be difficult to pull back and feel like it's still locked in place. Forcing this seems like a bad idea, so I try releasing and pressing the side button a few times until the sliders finally start moving without much effort. (-1 star) -- Doesn't fall out of the outlet even when the camera charger is plugged in. Notes on USB: -- USB charging may be the only way to use the M8. It's very convenient and you don't have to remember your "charging box" when you travel. Unlike other travel adapters I've had, the M8 doesn't have an annoying LED to tell you it's plugged in. The M8 doesn't have an LED indicator to show it's not plugged in :-).-- When charging two devices, note that the USB 1000mA output is split between the two ports (500mA each) . Your devices will continue to charge, but it may take longer than just one to charge. Depending on your device, you may be able to charge faster by connecting the device's native wall charger to the M8. Some chargers can deliver over 1000mA and I assume the same will be the case when connected to the M8. Other Notes: Seriously, travel adapters like this one are not meant to be used with devices that draw a lot of power. Do not use with hair dryers, irons (both curlers and clothes), high-powered kitchen appliances (blenders, toasters, etc.), refrigerators, chainsaws, welders, and virtually anything that uses electricity to generate heat or power. You'll blow a 2.5A fuse and be adapter-less in less than a millisecond. - This is a travel adapter. This is not a converter. Anything you plug into it should be labeled "110-240 VAC" or have a small switch to toggle between 110 and 240.
