Bought to crimp some Anderson 50a terminals onto 8 AWG wiring. The first two were successful, but after that the crystal deformed so the connectors were no longer holding to the wiring. The 8 AWG setting on the chip looked almost as big as the 4 AWG setting at that moment. Whatever material the matrix is made of, it is not hard enough. Also, the way this thing closes is like pliers - meaning the side closest to the loop is smaller than the other end. So when you close it, it pushes the material away from you and not toward the center. terminal, resulting in a weaker crimp. I don't know how they have those pictures of good clean symmetrical crimps on their product page, this crimp can't do that.
