The biggest problem with this drain is that it had to be designed with a tapered pipe thread for the plug to seal properly when tightened. Instead, the small connector is straight-threaded and relies on a fragile little rubber O-ring for sealing. As soon as you turn the cork with the slightest effort, the O-ring is simply pushed out to the side. It looked so patchy that I couldn't bear the thought of putting the pot back in until I fixed the problem. I ended up drilling and tapping into the body to mount a 1/8" NPT (tapered pipe thread) male connector so I could tighten and Teflon seal it. Even if you somehow secure that little rubber o-ring, overheating/cooling if the ring cracks or dries out the plug will just loosen and unscrew as well. Save yourself the hassle and buy one of these with a brass NPT (tapered thread) connector.
