A large silicone spatula gets most of what you have mixed and there are nicks on the edges of the spatula. This makes the spatula less effective for future scraping jobs, and I'm not happy with small bits of silicone falling off during use. I bought it because it is to be used with the Vitaminomix. It comes under the blades and the curved side fits into the curved areas of the blender snug enough to scrape off most of what you've been blending. We make a lot of thick sauces and smoothies and the like in a blender so it's best to get more sauce. Given the intricate shape of the blender's interior, I don't think there's any other shape that does the job better than this for squeezing out thick chunks of sauce. ALL made from sticky blender sauce. But it does the job well and feels stiffer than a silicone spatula, it doesn't gnaw on the blades as much. Overall this is a good tool, although I wish it was a little more affordable for what it is. You're not going to use it in a peanut butter jar or to get that last bit of honey. You could, but you won't because this tool is small and made specifically for blenders. So it's not exactly multitasking. But it's not a bad choice for frequent mixer users.
