Adhesive tabs will not stick to the glass when heated.

I got this alarm after a lame thief smashed my back window and stole my $24 car emergency kit. Stealing the tool kit wasn't the lame part - the lame part was that the thief was too stupid to look past the tailgate and (luckily for me!) didn't realize I hadn't unpacked after the weekend trip . and had about $1,500 in gear in the back seat. So for the $300 cost of the window, the thief took a cheap tool kit. I hope he really needed those jumper cables! In any case, I decided that any notification is better than no notification if it makes thieves run instead of stealing. I taped this awesome little alarm to the inside of my rear window and after forgetting it was there and activating it a couple of times I can confirm it's loud enough to deter thieves. It's sensitive enough to hit my car's bumper hard with a shopping cart (because that's how I drive, baby!), it'll detonate, but a 4.5 quake with an epicenter in 10 miles won't do it. I found the instructions for changing the sound and alarm volume a bit confusing so I just left it at the factory defaults and it seems great. The only bad thing is these stickers can't take being left in the car glass in the sun and the alarm went off the window, the alarm went off annoying my neighbors! I ended up buying new heavy duty adhesive strips and so far they seem to be holding up. Overall, this is a great little alarm clock for the price, and if you're going to be using it in a situation where you can secure it with the included plastic zip ties rather than using sticky pull tabs, there's no reason not to give it a try. .
