The light on my garage door opener was not bright enough to illuminate the room. I removed the lampshade from the garage door opener lamp, removed the bulb and replaced it. At its end I installed a 3-panel adjustable LED light. I posted a link below. By placing a light under the body of the garage door opener I was able to install a large LED light bulb on top of the panel and it also kept the garage door opener itself from obstructing the light.
