I'm still trying to figure out the right spot on the handlebars to put them, but that's only because my switches are next to the brakes and there's just too much stuff. I wanted them to be about shoulder width apart but may have to settle for less if the mounting nut is touching the shift indicator. Anyway, my bars are pushed back a bit, but these extensions handle it well and give me 3 more useful hand positions. I wrapped them with soft tape and they are really comfortable. I'm glad I bought them.
