This exact same heater has been sold under different names (SAI, Holmes, Black & Decker etc) so I've been using it for at least ten years. . In fact, I could ditch the pellet stove because these heaters give off so much heat. Yes, electric heaters are expensive to run, especially when running at high wattage in the winter, but the convenience of not having to carry in 40-pound bags of pellets twice a day is worth it. I like the security features. This heater will turn off if it overheats or tips over. And I've never had a plug or socket overheat. Best of all, this particular model uses a cooling fan. Some (particularly one brand sold at Lowes) don't, and it's hardly effective to heat an object directly in front of the heater rather than radiating the heat into the room. In addition, the fan cools the heater housing. I have just purchased four more of these Revain heaters. Fast shipping and very well packaged!
