These are dual filament bulbs. The light is very sharp, clear and projects a decent distance. You can use them in both brake lights and turn signals (both double strand and single strand). Make sure the color of the lenses matches the color of the LED. I think a lot of reviews complain about "not as bright as OEM bulbs" bought a white LED and put it behind a colored lens. The white LED is so intense that when you place it behind the red lens, most of the light is reflected back into the body, resulting in a washed-out color. The same applies to amber lenses. For the AMBER lens you need a yellow LED. If you're using them as turn signals, you'll probably need a compatible relay or similar to get rid of the hyperflash. Light bulbs are polarity sensitive. So if it doesn't work at first, unplug the bulb and turn it around.
