    Good workmanship good for lighting and lighting accessories

    Far from the brightness of the ordinary incandescent lamp, I wanted to "upgrade". Good build quality as is to be expected from Philips but light output is very disappointing. The light output was uneven and since the LEDs are not on top they are very dim in the brake reflector housing. They are returned as they cannot be used as traffic lights.

    good LEDs good for bulbs

    These headlights work great and are brighter than stock. I bought them to be more visible on the streets for safety reasons. a burnt out lightbulb message displayed on the dashboard. I just click OK and it goes away. You're not ready for the bus. They also stay on minutes or hours after I park the car. They stay on at a very low light level, they must be very efficient because they never drained my battery, eventually they turn off.

    Well done. No brighter than factory

    These 3157R LEDs performed very well in our 2013 brake light bar. The red color actually eliminated the slight orange cast that the factory bulbs caused in the reflector. All red now. I didn't rate it 5 stars because I had to wonder if they were bright enough as they definitely weren't brighter. This has more to do with the design of the light than the intensity of the LED chip. After all, they were at least as bright, redder, and instantaneous.

    Brake light or parking light, not both?

    I really wanted to like them, especially for such a price. I've been messing around with these things for a while trying to get the parking light or brake light to work. Depending on how I inserted the bulb, only one of them could make contact. I even adjusted the pins and pins on both the passenger side and driver's side - nothing. I bought a whole new taillight housing and tried again to no avail. I ended up reconnecting a much cheaper bulb and fixed the problem. Too bad now I can't even get…

    Good bulbs - make sure the bulb color matches the lens color

    These are dual filament bulbs. The light is very sharp, clear and projects a decent distance. You can use them in both brake lights and turn signals (both double strand and single strand). Make sure the color of the lenses matches the color of the LED. I think a lot of reviews complain about "not as bright as OEM bulbs" bought a white LED and put it behind a colored lens. The white LED is so intense that when you place it behind the red lens, most of the light is reflected back into the body…

    You need resistors. Same brightness as factory.

    The description says it is a direct replacement for incandescent bulbs. It then says in the fine print that you may need resistors to add the load. You really need resistors. Philips resistors are cheaper than Sylvania resistors, but Philips bulbs don't produce as much brightness. Here is a comparison between upgrading to these LEDs and factory installed. costs over 20 years. resistors. OEM = $16 for four sets of lamps over a 20 year period. A system and replacement service life of only 4 years
