I bought this thermometer because my husband and I eat a lot of chicken. It's nice to load chicken breasts into the oven, feel one of them and let the thermometer tell you when it's done. After about 5 uses I used a steak thermometer and it seemed like it took sooooo long to get to 140. I finally decided something was wrong with the thermometer and when I cut the steak, that was it. mostly beef jerky. I tried connecting a second sensor to see if that was the problem, but neither worked. I would say this is a good thermometer but unfortunately it didn't last long.
