Review on 🔌 Grizzl-E Level 2 EV Charger: High-Performance Indoor/Outdoor Car Charging Station (NEMA 14-50 Plug, 24 Feet Premium Cable), 16/24/32/40 Amp by Michael Hogate

When I received the device, it was initially plugged in but not properly. The connector was a 4-pin Nema 6-50 as described, but the device only uses 3 wires and there isn't even room for a ground. When hooked up at the factory, red, black, and green wires were used, the white wire (neutral in the US) was cut off, and since the plug is molded plastic, the green wire was connected to the ground pin (as it should be) . be) was intended as a neutral conductor. I was planning on hardwiring anyway, but it was very frustrating to find a unit that costs the same to miswire it to prevent it from working out of the box. Plus, setting the amps you want to charge isn't an easy switch. You must disassemble the device to access the DIP switches inside and change the setting. So if you want to charge more slowly to give the battery a break, expect it to take extra time to disassemble and reassemble, and the screws used are aluminum so it's only a matter of time until they are removed. After setting up the device, everything worked perfectly. 3 months once it got hot outside, now it doesn't hold a charge. Turns out there's a bad batch of chargers, and instead of notifying customers who have them, they just wait for you to call to fix it. a support form that you must print and email back. I am currently awaiting a device replacement and am not thrilled with their level of service in terms of replacing the charger as soon as possible.
