This part is exactly the same as the one on my 2003 Ford Taurus V6 3.0. My check engine light came on and I bought a code reader who gave me the misfire code on cylinder #1. A little search on youtube led me to the conclusion that replacing the ignition coil would solve the problem. You were right. Installation couldn't be easier. I'm pretty sure my 10 year old could do it. Save yourself the trip to the mechanic and do it yourself for $25 and 10 minutes. Don't forget a small tube of dielectric grease for the joints!
