Failed 1 year and 3-4000 miles after installation.

I used to like standard motor products. My mechanic, who had experience with these coil packs, asked with advice and stuttering as soon as he moved in: Have you changed the coil packs? I answered yes. He then asked if I used a Ford Coilpack? I said no he said it was a problem. Of course he was right. He said stock motor products are a good brand but he has yet to find an aftermarket coil kit that will fit Ford branded products. (automobile, car light etc.) He has no idea why, they just don't…

Works great in my 2002 Ford Windstar.

This coil pack works great on my 2002 Ford Windstar. I installed it myself a few months ago along with new plugs and cables (also purchased from Revain) and it's still working with no problems. I definitely recommend it and when I bought it it was significantly cheaper than elsewhere so that's a plus. If I ever have problems I will update this review. [Update February 15, 2020] I recently sold the van and the coil pack still worked fine, but as I no longer have it I can't give any further…

Solved Roughly simple, easy to install, half price from local stores.

My '05 Ranger had a very rough idle and was difficult to start, it wasn't noticeable when just stopping the drive and idling. Fuel filter tried, new spark plugs, new spark plug wires; Finally I replaced the OE coil pack with this coil pack from Standard Motor Products. Perfect fit, just install 3 8mm head screws only. Be sure to number the spark plug leads so you can replace them at the exact location. Local parts dealers, Advance, Auto Zone, O'Riellys, were charging $75-$85 per coil pack from…

Installation couldn't be easier, cylinder #1 fault fixed in 10 minutes

This part is exactly the same as the one on my 2003 Ford Taurus V6 3.0. My check engine light came on and I bought a code reader who gave me the misfire code on cylinder #1. A little search on youtube led me to the conclusion that replacing the ignition coil would solve the problem. You were right. Installation couldn't be easier. I'm pretty sure my 10 year old could do it. Save yourself the trip to the mechanic and do it yourself for $25 and 10 minutes. Don't forget a small tube of dielectric…

Exactly as described and identical to OEM

When the 2005 Ford Taurus would occasionally stall and stall, I was amazed at the lack of an illuminated check engine light. Used a cheap code checker and it showed a few misfires. The car has just had a complete overhaul with new wiring and connectors and other parts that had to be replaced due to a long stay. I decided to replace this coil pack before checking resistance with a multimeter due to minimal cost and frequent failures as cars age. I have driven the car for over 80 miles with no…

Replacement was easy

The ignition coil came well packaged BUT one of the legs was broken off when I opened the box. I reported this to Revane immediately and a replacement was sent to him. The faulty ignition coil was returned after I made sure the replacement was ok. The replacement has arrived. I used a black marker to indicate which spark plug wire goes where and I disconnected the ground from the battery. The numbering does not need to indicate which cylinder the wire belongs to, just the order of attachment to

Perfect replacement for 01 Ford Taurus

I had no service history on this car because we bought it with 138,000 miles for my mother-in-law who overcharged her Oldsmobile 05 (not her fault). We knew it wouldn't last much longer, maybe a year, so we didn't want to invest a lot of money in a newer model. It transmitted misfire code 301 (cylinder 1) at 148,000 miles. The car ran smooth up to this point so I was amazed to find OE spark plugs in the engine. Your gaps were huge! I put new spark plugs in and expected the problem to be fixed…

Fits, works and saved a lot of money

Now I'm a mechanic! The 2001 Ford Ranger is sleek again! I think I'll do one or two victory laps to enjoy the smooth-running 3-litre, 6-cylinder engine. For less than $40 and 30 minutes of my time, I got the truck running again. These efforts have resulted in hundreds of dollars (many hundreds) in savings, as indicated by a quote from Christian Brethren that was provided to me. So easy. Order the part from Revain (save $80 off the retail price) and receive it in two days. Open the hood…
