My 2000 GMC Sonoma Truck started making noises when the engine was running. . I knew the engine was fine as I take great care of my cars. After others heard the noise, we all agreed it was probably the belt tensioner and/or its pulley. Either the spring or the ball bearings were worn out and making this noise when the engine was running. I bought it with a new belt. The problem is solved! Sounds like a new engine!
