I installed a new aftermarket belt on my 2007 Toyota Yaris and it still made a slight squeak when I started the car. Tightening the belt didn't help. It has been replaced with a Toyota OEM belt and now there are no more chirps or squeaks just a nice soft start. The price is twice as much but it's worth it in the end. Comparing the OEM to the aftermarket, I noticed that the aftermarket v-grooves were slightly wider than the OEM, which probably wasn't making the best contact with the pulleys.
