Failed after 2 weeks

Purchased alternator for 2004 Volkswagen 1.8T GTI. The alternator worked great for the first 2 weeks and failed without warning, draining the battery. This happened 2 days before the 30 day return policy, but I reported it 1 day late on the manufacturer's product support tab and haven't had a response since. Would not recommend this product.
