I originally bought this unit last year because I was having issues with my laptop's built-in Wi-Fi, which was disconnecting every few minutes. This USB Wifi solved my problem. I recently bought a new laptop and decided to use it on a new laptop. It turns out that this USB Wi-Fi, as well as my new laptop's built-in Wi-Fi, doubled my internet speed! My internet connection at home should be 50 Mbit/s download and 10 Mbit/s upload. I only got a 25/10 due to the distance (20 feet) from the wifi router. I'm getting a 50/10 now with this extra USB WiFi. If you pay $50 or more for internet per month but only get half or less of those speeds on your Wi-Fi laptops because Wi-Fi is ALWAYS slower than a wired ethernet connection, then I think a few Dollars More for USB Wi-Fi How to get the Internet speed you pay so much money for! This is WITHOUT SOUL!
