Perfect! TP-Link does it again!

Short version: Need network acceleration for that old wireless laptop or desktop? Get it and be happy. It's not often that a particular brand turns out to be good every time, but TP-Link is what pulls it off. Bridge, WAP, network card, gigabit switch and now this USB wireless adapter. I gave 5 out of 5 points, I am very satisfied with the TP-Link purchase. This 802.11n adapter did exactly what I hoped it would. I have an old laptop with 802.11g built in. I use it with a treadmill and for someโ€ฆ

I bought this wireless adapter for OS X 10.10.5 Yosemite because my wireless card stopped working. Much of the review is based on my experience with my Mac. Upon opening the package, I noticed that the adapter was fairly small (smaller than the average flash drive), came with an installation CD, and said on the box that it was compatible with Windows and no other operating systems on the list. The CD only contains the installation for Windows XP - 8.1, but will work on Windows 10. Theโ€ฆ

It's cheap and works like a champ!

I used this wireless adapter on a Windows 10 laptop upgraded from Windows 8.1. The adapter works well, but you should be aware of a few limitations: The installation disk will not install the setup utility on a computer running Windows 10. Now I got this adapter because my Asus computer's built-in network adapter failed - it just worked inside a gauge of the radio modem! After downloading the Windows 8.1 driver for the adapter (available on their website) and disabling the faulty onboardโ€ฆ

TWICE THE INTERNET SPEED!

I originally bought this unit last year because I was having issues with my laptop's built-in Wi-Fi, which was disconnecting every few minutes. This USB Wifi solved my problem. I recently bought a new laptop and decided to use it on a new laptop. It turns out that this USB Wi-Fi, as well as my new laptop's built-in Wi-Fi, doubled my internet speed! My internet connection at home should be 50 Mbit/s download and 10 Mbit/s upload. I only got a 25/10 due to the distance (20 feet) from the wifiโ€ฆ

Now it works fine and shows the correct upload and download speed.

I don't know what to think about this. He couldn't set up my Time Warner wireless router for the rest of his life. It shows 2 identical SSIDs, so I tried both multiple times. After I entered the password it huffed for a few minutes and then said I must have entered the wrong password. No! I tried a few more times and it gave me the same message. Tried WPS - same thing. I tried different USB ports on my Win7 - 64bit laptop. I even deleted and tried again. Then I went online and a year agoโ€ฆ

Looks stable and strong enough

I got this after having an HP Pavilion with a terrible Ralink card that just couldn't support WiFi connection. I despaired that one day I could just work on my computer without having to deal with Wi-Fi. This HP problem is common and their devices won't accept any other card. Finally, for the price of a very good candy bar, I have an unobtrusive accessory that I can use when I'm not at home and that has been stable in difficult conditions. I start, Feel more secure with my connection and canโ€ฆ

Linux, Peppermint OS 3 users

This works very well for a Peppermint OS 3 system. I plugged it in and it worked. There is no need to install drivers from the CD provided with this adapter. There is a strong signal. It doesn't even get hot like my old adapters. It does not turn off when using Peppermint OS 3. I tried downloading the drivers and wireless network manager from the CD but it just hangs on the XP system so I just installed the drivers. Although XP already had drivers for the 300Mbps wireless adapter when I plugged
