Great game for Preschoolers

This is a fantastic toddler game! Our 3 year old is a HUGE Pete the Cat fan. The Groovy Buttons book is probably her favorite too. So this game was an obvious choice for her. Our 5 year old enjoys it as well and does not get bored with it.It is a 4 person (max) game. Each person gets a board that is shaped like Pete. Petes shirt has 4 button spaces, each a different shape. Each player takes a turn spinning the spinner. Based on where the spinner lands, the player uses the squeezer to pick up the button, give a button to another player, or lose all their buttons. The winner is declared by who completes their shirt first. The game is easy for a preschooler to understand and play without much assistance at all. There is a lot of learning in the game too - matching, shapes, gross and fine motor skills.Another big plus is that this game is fairly small to store so it is an easy game to travel with as it doesn't take up so much room like most board games. The box is Pete shaped, and thick - i don't worry about it getting damaged.I cant say enough good things about this game. If you have 3-5 year olds at home, this is a great game to have!

Pros
  • Provides an excellent way for young children to develop social skills, including communication, cooperation, and empathy
Cons
  • The game is not engaging and cannot hold players' interest
