works on older Android phones that have the option to enable tethering and disable WiFi.
I bought this for my new Samsung Galaxy for the sole reason to turn off Wi-Fi and use my phone on an Ethernet network. I wanted to reduce WiFi pollution. Didn't work on my phone. But on my husband's old Android phone it worked as it should.
