Add 10/100M network ability to compatible device - Android Tablets, Windows Tablet computer, Google Nexus Player, Dell Venue Pro 8 tablet, Raspberry Pi Zero, HP Stream 7, Asus T100taf and more, and enable it to share hard disk files, printers, peripherals. Plug it in, change the settings in the computer, restart, and use it ( Or repeat plug-and-unplug 3 times to help your device to identify ). Limited Android compatibility. Android users, before you buy be sure to look if the device has a (grayed out) "Ethernet" menu in Settings under WIRELESS & NETWORKS. Most probably it will just work then.

No internet crash! - Networking Products

I bought this power supply to use with my X-Men vs Street Fighter Arcade 1Up case. The case has a micro USB port and I read that it is possible to plug in an adapter to use an ethernet cable instead of the included WiFi antenna. The ethernet connection was detected without any problems and there were no problems with the internet.

  • Quality Construction

Adapter works but phone/tablet won't connect

Everything is fine with this adapter. I got it after replacing a more complex version with USB and SDCard slots, which was overkill for the simple purpose of installing an internet connection. I ONLY had to return it because the TPLink device I was connected to never worked properly and TPLink support was essentially useless in solving the issue.

Pros
  • New to my collection
Cons
  • Almost OK

Great for RPi0

I wanted to try running Pi-Hole on a Raspberry Pi 0. Due to the size of the Pi, it doesn't have a built-in network card, and neither do I need anything as vital as DNS to rely on a wireless connection. That's why I ordered this adapter. It's pretty rare to find Micro USB to Ethernet. (USB A or C for Ethernet is more common.) I plugged it in, booted the Raspberry OS and it was off and running. Easy installation - it was automatically detected. Reliable - It's been running for all my DNS/DHCP…

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

Works with Acer W3-810-1600 Win 8.1 8 " Tablet

Works with my Acer W3-810-1600 Win 8.1 8" Tablet. It didn't detect or install the device when I first plugged it in, but it seems to have installed before I could click Update Driver in Device Manager. I get download speeds of 10ms / 6.47Mbps / 5.76Mbps. Tablet vs. 7ms/27.68Mbps/5.86Mbps on my desktop, so the USB dongle seems to be limiting my download speed, but still seems good enough to me. I tried to use it with my Samsung Galaxy Note 3 smartphone but it doesn't work as expected. The phone…

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Doesn't work as much on Dell Venue 8 Pro, Nexus 7 and 9.

I took this mainly for my Dell Venue 8 Pro and partly for my 2012 Nexus 7 model. DV8P works straight away, plugged in, plugged into CAT5 and it works. No problem, it's faster and much more secure than WiFi. There is nothing more to say about it: it just works. But the 2012 Nexus 7 is a whole different story. It's supposedly possible on XDA to get the Nexus 7 to detect and use an Ethernet connection, but I can't seem to get it to work despite following the XDA steps. My N7 is not rooted and that

Pros
  • Good for many
Cons
  • Some trouble
