. I bought this after using the French press to make cold brew for a while. I thought it would be a lot easier and I could create more volume instantly. Not only did it not perform as expected, but it was also much more difficult to clean than a French Press. First, the design is just weird, there is a little "plug" at the bottom that holds the liquid. Not only will this cause it to leak if you're not careful, but it also makes it awkward and somewhat difficult to remove the plug. A small attachable handle lets you do the job yourself, but as many other reviewers have pointed out, this fragile handle can easily break and cause a HUGE mess (thankfully that didn't happen to me). You would think that these days they have a little knob that you can turn on the bottom to start and stop the liquid, but that's way too cheap for that. Second, it's an absolute nightmare to clean. The thick matter not only comes out of the tank with difficulty, but often falls straight into the trash can when you try to "shake out" its filter. Additionally, this thing is very difficult to clean as the little sharp edges on the bottom literally poke into you as you try to hold and clean it. The last problem seems so easy to solve, but it was a serious oversight; the pool is white. If you don't clean the sink after each use, it will become darker and dirty with coffee grounds. All in all this product is an absolute joke and for the price there HAS to be something much better. It should be black plastic, have a rotating handle on the bottom instead of a peg, have rounded edges so it doesn't hurt, and have a built-in handle that won't break and cause the sink to fall off the floor. . They really need to change the design, especially for the price. Just use a French Press and save time, money and hassle.
