I have mixed feelings about this. Transmission! Transmission! Transmission! Toys are great toys. This is a common item found in the free spins section of Science Museums, which tells you it's very durable and can withstand heavy play. It's also very versatile. A small number of forms can do so many different things. However, I feel like this set of pedal cars isn't enough to do a lot of things. I think the Treadmobiles set goes well with the other Gears set! Transmission! Transmission! or get and add if you already have some. But alone there can be enough parts to tease without building much. Transmission! Transmission! Gears!: The toy line is great. The plastic is really high quality and durable, which sets it apart from cheaper branded toys. Transmission! Transmission! Transmission! endures a lot of abuse and tough play from children. I have a small set I bought at a thrift store a few years ago and it's pretty solid. I also see it sometimes in the free play areas at science museums, and the local natural history museum in particular had a huge set of gears! Transmission! Transmission! in the free play zone for several years. It tells me he can handle even more abuse than my kids. The toys are fun too. Just a few basic pieces fit together to create many different builds. It has almost no special parts and instead you just combine these basic parts to make so many things. It is great for children's creativity and problem-solving, and is also a children's toy for adults to play and have fun with (good building toys are interesting for everyone). Connect the tread pieces to connect the gears through the gap. The set includes instructions for 3 vehicles, each using chains, to help children understand how the chains and gears work. By the way, the first assembly is complete crap. It contains a tread connected to two wheels that rotate the tread when the car is pushed. This chain should then mesh with the gears going up the machine, but the chain will sag too much and come loose. The other two builds work great if you build a car and push the car and spin the gears all over the car. They fall apart when kids push them, but the purpose of this gear toy isn't to make a specific build, it's to get kids thinking and connect gears to build their own thing. My kids seemed to enjoy pushing cars out of structures and then when they fell apart they enjoyed taking them apart and putting the pieces back together. The instructions are a bit sparse and difficult to follow, probably because the point of the toy isn't in specific builds. When children make a mistake and do something differently, they can try to correct it. The gears are a good toy and this set came with good instructions to get my kids thinking about using the tread pieces. One of the downsides of this set is that I don't think it's enough to stand on its own. My 6 and 8 year olds played with this so a few kids used the bits that made an impression. I have a small set as well but packed it before bringing this one in as I'm always curious if a set has enough pieces to stand alone or if they should be combined. I feel this set of Treadmobiles alone is too small. It's pretty close to being big enough and too small, so in combination with other gears! Transmission! Transmission! The set I think will be big enough to do a lot. All in all Gears! Transmission! Transmission! great toy. It's something adults or children can play with, and plastic is great where a lot of hard play is required. This is a toy big enough to play for free. You are paying for durability as I have cheap toys from other brands and they are fun at first but break quickly. This particular Treadmobiles set is good with instructions to get the kids thinking about how to use the rails. However, it's not quite enough parts to build much. I think it's a good set but should be paired with other gears! Transmission! Transmission! install to have enough parts to work with.
