Review on Rit Dye Liquid Fabric 8 Ounce by Michelle Langley

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good experience

I have a mustard yellow 100% cotton dress. I first used a stove top paint remover which worked fine but was very stainy. I would recommend making a washing machine for this, but that's another review. The dress has turned light yellow. I dyed it in the washing machine (mine was coral) because it's constantly moving and it's a lot harder to do on the stovetop or in the sink (I'll use the dye next time for the same reason the to remove paint). ). I read the instructions on the Rit site 100 times because they are pretty detailed. Get ready for a day in the washing machine because you have to prewash, maybe machine decolorize, wash and dry afterwards, machine dye, machine color fixer, finish washing and drying clothes, and then machine cleaning. That's 7 cycles. The paint came out very well. I am very happy with it. You cannot see stains through the paint remover. Also the color is very nice. I used to have a horrible experience dyeing a polyester shirt with synthetic dye. However, since this dress was cotton, it fit perfectly.
