Review on Proteus AMBIO: Smart Wifi Temperature Humidity Sensor with Buzzer & Alerts by Justin Wallace

Revainrating 5 out of 5

This sensor works great with a relatively simple setup, so I just got another one!

UPDATE 4/4/18: I just added a second Proteus sensor in the second position and it couldn't be easier. The nice thing is that I can use the same account as the original sensor even if it's on a different Wi-Fi network. Both sensors are now displayed on the same webpage and are individually configurable, allowing you to set different temperature ranges as well as different emails and notification texts. They also recently updated their website. This is a really great product from a great company! I just set up this device. It was pretty easy, but you'll need to plug in the included temperature extender and open the WiFi installer on your phone or tablet before plugging in the sensor. If your WiFi installer doesn't pick up the Proteus WiFi signal right away, try pressing the black button next to the temperature sensor port for a few seconds and the device will reboot and the Proteus network should appear. You need to enter your account details (email address and password) on their website and then log in. You will see your sensor with temperature and humidity readings. You can then customize the alarm settings for low temperature, high temperature, humidity %, etc., and add additional email addresses and mobile phone numbers (for text messaging if you want). Mine began recording temperature and humidity with great accuracy. I connected mine to a UPS backup battery so it will continue to work if there is a power outage (my WiFi router is also connected to the same UPS). The temperature and humidity sensor extension is very short, but I understand you can ask the seller for a longer one if you want to put it in your fridge or something.
