So far, so good. suitable for sous vide devices

I received my new Keylitos sous vide cooker late yesterday afternoon. glasses wearers) instructions and get to work immediately. I placed the unit on the rim of a large saucepan and carefully added water to the amount indicated on the unit and in the instructions. I've already bought about 2 kilos of cheap, firm round steak as my first challenge units. I marinated the meat for about an hour, placed in 2 vacuum bags and sealed. I've already turned on the stove and brought it up to temperature, then put the bags in the water. enough. A couple of times while my steaks were cooking I went over to see if it was working. It was. Just very quiet. Then, during the 5 hours I set for the cook time, I kept checking the temperature and it never fluctuated over 1% Fahrenheit plus or minus, while being accurate most of the time. If the temperature deviates, it recovers very quickly to the programmed temperature. I would like to point out that with my standard pan I had no thermal insulation on the outside and the heat loss from the pans was significant. I was pleased with how well the unit maintained the programmed temperature in each case. When the cooking was done, I opened the bags, quickly charred the outside of the steaks and let them rest for a bit. Result? They were still round steaks but very tender. And the spices I put in the bags with them made them very flavorful. Conclusion? Great sous vide cooker for the money. The settings, while simple, may take some practice for some, but I was able to get used to it fairly quickly. Then followed a walk in the park. And now a little disclaimer. I'm giving it 5 stars for now. I found it to work perfectly and quietly. But this was the first time I used the machine and it has yet to prove its durability and reliability over time. I'll post updates later if I have any information I think you'll all need.
