Bought this model at a local hardware store. Unfortunately, there weren't any reviews for this model yet, but similar ones were rated well, so I decided to give it a try. First off, this thing is a beast. It's heavy on its own, but when filled with water/solution it becomes even bulkier. On my old vacuum, the solution and recovery tanks were on the bottom of the unit, making it easier to squeeze. In this model, the solution/solution tanks are in the center of the unit, which shifts the center of gravity and makes it difficult to push until used, and some of the water goes into the recovery tank at the base. The base is also very high and doesn't match the furniture at all. even a standard height coffee table. A clean and dirty tank in two completely different chambers allow the user to pour more water right from the start, reducing the need to fill and pour as often. A great disadvantage. DO NOT LEAVE IT ON THE GROUND AFTER USE. After switching off, water remains in the pipes at the bottom of the device and slowly flows out from below. I made the mistake of doing this and the water dripped and soaked our hardwood floors, warping them quite noticeably. This is a major design flaw that I have not found in any other purifier. After turning it off, I have to place it on a towel to soak up any remaining water that may spill out, otherwise a puddle will seep onto the carpet or floor. That is the main problem @ss. Another shortcoming is the connecting hose, which is completely separate from the device and comes with a "handy storage bag". The tube and bag are bulky and large; The hose is difficult to put in and take out of the bag and definitely not easy to store. I wish this model was similar to my old one where the attachment hose was part of the unit and I twisted the knob to switch use from the base to the attachments. Storage has become much more convenient and compact. Also, there's a learning curve for attaching the hose to the base of the main unit, so I don't use it at all, even for small spills and the like. On the plus side, this thing picks up a lot of dirt and grime. I looked at some carpets that were hardly used and even after pouring out the dirty water and stepping over the carpets a few times, the used water was still dirty! I like that the machine is suitable for both light and deep washes, so the carpet can be easily scrubbed and not really get wet for hours. There's also a rinse function that only deposits water (no cleaning solution) as the remaining soap on the carpet fibers can attract more dirt than was originally cleaned. All in all, it's an efficient device and it would be nice to see it used sparingly. but repeated use underscores the fact that it's unnecessarily clunky and difficult to handle. I love the fact that it cleans really well (which is the main reason I bought it) but looking back I wish I had a more compact model with an extra hose. and one that doesn't leak through the floor once turned off!
