Cool Rack, But Not Without its Flaws

I was excited to get my hands on the Mountainpeak 57' ladder 3 bar rain-gutter mount rack for my 1996-Up Chevy Express 1500 2500 3500 Full Size Cargo Van (let's just call it "Cool Rack" for short), but my enthusiasm waned after some use. First off, the installation wasn't a breeze. It definitely required some patience and elbow grease to get everything properly aligned. Also, the instructions could use some improvement - they were a bit vague and unclear. Once I finally had it set up, I was impressed with how sturdy and solid it felt. It's able to hold a lot of weight without any noticeable bending or flexing. However, the main issue I have with Cool Rack is the noise. It's incredibly loud when driving at high speeds or on windy days. I'm not sure if it's the design or the materials used, but it's definitely an issue that needs to be addressed. Overall, I think Cool Rack is a decent purchase, but it's not without its flaws. If you're willing to put up with some noise and a challenging installation process, it's a good choice for a full-size cargo van roof rack.

Pros
  • Practicality: The Chevy Express 1500, 2500, and 3500 Full Size Cargo Van Roof Rack from Mountainpeak is an incredibly practical addition to your vehicle. Not only does it allow you to transport large or bulky items with ease, but it also frees up valuable interior space for other items you need to transport
Cons
  • The roof rack may add extra weight to your vehicle, resulting in reduced fuel efficiency and potentially damaging your van’s roof
