I definitely understand why some people leave bad reviews, the painted parts will stain IF YOU DON'T ADD IT FIRST. I've found that by first adding the dye and THEN melting the rest of the wax, it melts perfectly. The dye also doesn't melt at 120 degrees as the instructions say. Don't wait to add it last or you'll be stuck with grains no matter how much you mix it in. I've also seen some reviews that have pictures of packaging that looks "dirty", it's not dirt it's just paint! The color is highly pigmented and can leave a mark on almost anything. Don't worry if your backpacks look dirty. As for the color, it looks great! I like chips because I can add a little or a lot and it's cheaper than liquid paint. The price was reasonable. I just don't recommend following their instructions when it comes to adding color last. Do not do that.
