Gaskets break at spacers
What you don't see in the pictures or look closely is that each of these ribs bends and is held in the middle by a very thin piece of plastic. The only thing is that if this thing is stuck in the gap pretty tight, it will fall off immediately if you try to remove it. Just weak design. In retrospect, I could have chosen other spacers here with a loop.
