This stainless steel drawer has changed my life compared to trash cans. I have four of these for my three cats. I used to use plastic boxes, but no matter how hard I scooped and cleaned them, they always picked up odors and had to be replaced every few months. These boxes require a large initial investment, but replacement is not required. They never take on odors and are easy to clean. I scoop once a day and wipe down each box with a Clorox tissue, changing the filler every two weeks. I haven't smelled filler in over a year and it's still as perfect as the day it arrived. Also for those who ask if they are louder - absolutely not. I have a crazy excavator and rarely listen to it in the drawer now. We could hear him constantly digging and scratching in plastic boxes. There is almost no sound in them. Highly recommended.
