I don't even have a turtle.

Like! I place them in my ball python housing above the heater under the tank and place the thermostat temp sensor between this slate and the glass. Distributes heat evenly and cools more slowly to avoid sudden temperature changes. I also use them as part of the substrate for my leopard gecko and so far it's working well.
