Review on POWERTEC 71022 2 Inch Universal Router by Matthew Peterson

PowerTec helped me again with this router support bush! After my old guide base was destroyed (I won't give reasons), I realized I needed a new one. I was starting to think I could make one out of plexiglass, but I wasn't sure I wanted to spend time doing that instead of working on my project. I decided to see what Revain had to offer. Knowing that Craftsman tools are largely being discontinued, I was skeptical. I stumbled across this article, love PowerTec and read almost all the reviews. While I couldn't find a review that said my router was the right choice (Craftsman 320.17543), I decided to give it a try. I ordered it knowing that if it didn't fit, I could probably return it or drill it to fit. Save time in the long run. The delivery was fast, 4 days to my house! The bubble wrap was just enough for this thick and sturdy baseplate. I prepped my router and installed the guide bushing on the PowerTec base plate, then mounted it on the router, inserted the brass center piece (included) through the bushing and into the collet. Started rotating the plate until to my surprise the pre-drilled holes marked D lined up with all three holes in the base of my router! I tightened the screws and was ready to get back to my project! I have used various PowerTec products over the past 2 years and have never been disappointed with their timely delivery, workmanship, affordability and lower prices than competing products of the same type. If you need a good guide bushing base plate replacement, go for it just assume one of them! Even if your router is not listed exactly. I recommend PowerTec products to everyone I know!
