So far, so good! Most of the reviews here seem pretty easy to do for them. Well, I wasn't easy with them. They'll throw 1/4" steel, they'll throw 3/8" steel, and then I pushed them to throw 1/2" steel! They're still cutting well after they've done it more than once have steps into the hole unless you want the biggest hole on the drill bit I made! You start with no hole but it's a little quicker to do a small drill bit first. The key is to go slow and to hold the heat! 1/ 2" steel - they weren't designed for that, but as long as you don't overheat and distill them you're fine! UPDATE! Finally worn one! After a few holes I threw all of the above out and now Poluram! The truck frame kills most drills but I dropped the frame with those bits a few times! It wasn't their killer. I enlarged some holes on the shredder and it was finally done. To be honest , I used a brand new $100 reamer to cut the exact g finish light hole, and the reamer destroyed! After many uses, these bits enlarged another 5 holes in the chopper before it died. The new expander only held 1 hole. Go slow and push hard and they seem to cut this stuff really well. Try to run fast or don't put too much pressure on the drill or it will dull. Order more now!
